- Chuck Z has lost his best friend. Go on over and show some love.
- Nancy R. articulates something that I think a lot of gun owners feel.
- OldNFO has some good information about Scouting.
- Mr.G’s has a good summary of the problems with cracks on the Airbus A-380.
- Keads shows some of the .22’s he uses to teach others and to train himself.
And finally, I’d like to thank everyone who put me on their list for the Liebster award. I had a nice post all queued up with everyone’s name, and then Chrome crashed and Blogger ate my homework. Since I’m too cool to keep a history of where I’ve been on the Internet and I have the memory of a frog lately, I don’t have a clue who you all were, but there was more than one of y’all. So thanks!

- Robb does a review of a holster maker in my neck of the woods. I’ll have to stop by and give his wares a look.
- Flier389 relates a great story of an encounter he had with a mama bear and her cubs once upon a time.
- Mr.G’s has a great write up on gun control and how it seeks to make slaves of free men.
- Warning, this post from Auntie J. is sweet enough to make you adjust your insulin.
- TinCan Assassin is going to have a lot of fun raising his daughter. The force is strong with this one.
- Shepherd K. has good news about his new little one, and learns the parent’s lesson of “If you build it, they will spew upon it”. I would have commented with some words of encouragement, but didn’t see a comment link.
- DefenseTech has a quick write-up on a concept design for a stealthy military cargo plane. Looks neat, but my totally non-flying self has to ask why you would need a fleet of cargo aircraft to replace the C-5 that use technology designed to make bombers survivable over an area defended by a sophisticated anti-air infrastructure. I could see having a few for dropping supplies behind the lines or dropping in paratroopers covertly, though.
- Big Hollywood is reporting that some of the big Obama contributors in Hollywood are pulling their support of the President after he came out against SOPA and PIPA. Gee, that’s too bad.

Get it out of my brain!
Sorry to do this to you guys, but this has been going over and over in my mind for the past few hours, ever since I watched Fozzie Bear do the original.
It goes on and on, but I think you get the idea.

Bluesun brings the funny. That probably ought to be the Quote of the Day.
OldNFO discusses a plane with a personality. Flying that low in a plane with that many problems takes guts.
Og gets lucky. I wish I was able to fix my automotive annoyances this quickly.
Chuck Z. finally makes it home. Trips like that make the hassle of flying in the U.S. look wimpy.
Wing demonstrates the appropriate way in which a spouse deals with a grumpy partner. I hope I remember that lesson the next time I need it.
NavyOne shows some good wisdom.

- Marko discusses Harry Potter and its detractors.
- Roberta X. takes a columnist to task for painting CCW holders as trigger happy mouth breathers.
- Chuck Z. is having a fine old time trying to get home from Afghanistan for a family emergency. Those of you who’ve been in can sympathize.
- SANS has two worth mentioning: First, if you’re using ASP.NET, then you need to patch. Now. Seriously. Next, if you’ve got a .mil email, then they warn you that bad people want to do bad things to your computer and your data. Make sure that who you think sent you that email really sent it.

- Captain Tightpants links to some good life lessons from Firefly.
- An Ordinary American brings us our daily chuckle.
- Flopping Aces discusses the unemployment situation since Obama took office. To me, the Democrats crowing about the unemployment rate going down is like tobacco companies crowing that lung cancer rates have fallen because a lot of their customers have died.
- Reason has a good set of predictions for 2012.
- Christina’s daughter Silver has a brush with death.
- Pissed makes me feel old. I have either owned all of those toys or I have played with the ones owned by my uncles.

- Firehand links to a great story about people standing up and defending themselves. The image I have of the Jewish guy taking on 20 Nazis is more Bruce Lee than Indiana Jones.
- Borepatch tries to explain to the Republicans that we’re tired of voting for people just because it’s their turn.
- Jeff Knox makes a good point. The groups that are called the “Gun Lobby” are nothing more than an aggregate of the millions of us who own, shoot, and enjoy guns and shooting.
- BRM points us to an article that pretty much convinces me that Newt just isn’t the one for me.
- George Smiley sums up the situation on the Korean peninsula quite nicely, and points to some of the things that the new Dear Leader is going to have to do in order to keep power.
- Shepherd seems to be fitting right into the dad department. Yeah, we all get mushy about our kids, no matter how macho we are.

Borepatch does an excellent job laying out the options available to our European cousins.
Big Hollywood discusses how the Red Cross is worried that the violence in video games might have an impact in war crimes.
JayG is going to be doing a test and evaluation of the Ruger LCR. In the words of the Joker: Where does he get such wonderful toys?
Lawyer does his best to make me feel my years.
Nancy R. shares a bit of her family history with us, and shows us how wicked smart our forebears could be. If all the modern conveniences were to go away tomorrow, how long would it take for someone to figure out how to do something like that?
Flopping Aces wins the “DaddyBear Should Buy More Kleenex” award for the day.
BRM is starting another internet meme which looks interesting and might fuel some mid-winter movie watching at Case de Oso.
OldNFO has a rather comical conversation with a couple of hipsters.

I’m going to take a page from BRM’s playbook, and point out some things I’ve seen on the blogs that I thought y’all might like.
- Over at RaindogBlue, h points out a good practice his leadership had when monitoring the recent OWS encampments.
- Over at Tractor Tracks, Farmgirl reports that the Farm Family has lost someone special. Go on over and show some love to a family that’s adopted a lot of people into their clan.
- Over at My Daily Kona, Mr. G’s has a good collection of some great bumper-sticker wisdom.
- LabRat has some weapons grade cute going on over at her place, with a report on her young horse/dog/bear hybrid.
- At American Thinker, Fay Voshell shares a beautiful moment in her families life with us.
- Miguel reports that the cases on Magtech ammunition might be serialized. I have some Magtech in the basement. I’ll have to check that out next time I go to the range.
- Linoge is holding a fundraiser for one of my preferred charities, and has some good fanfic up as well.
