Apple and Twitter?

It’s being rumored that Apple is discussing purchasing Twitter.

For what, I have no idea.

Apple doesn’t have any business that Twitter would compliment, and I don’t think that Twitter has any technology that Apple needs.

I’m throwing the flag on this one for 10 yards.

Thoughts?
