Zombie Cadence II

Not sure what brought this on, but it’s been running through my head all afternoon.  It should be sung in the same manner as this old chestnut.

Zombie horde shambling down the strip
Zombie hunters on a containment trip
Mission: Eradication
Destination: Hot Zone
Don’t wanna fight those zombies alone!

Kneel down, aim straight, take your first shot!
Nothing but head shots will do squat!
Body shots don’t count, aim for the head!
You don’t have enough bullets for all these undead!

If my rifle it should jam,
Zombie gonna eat me like Christmas ham!
If I get caught in a zombie’s bite,
Leave me a grenade and I’ll continue the fight!

If I die in the zombie war,
Burn my body just to be sure!
Throw some zombies on my pyre!
Kill those zombies with my fire!

Eureka!

A while ago, Tam and pretty much every other blogger I read asked what music you would want to listen to as you went out in a blaze of glory before becoming Purina Zombie Chow.  They all had good ideas, but I couldn’t think of what I would want to listen to while shooting out my last magazine of copper jacketed lead.

Would it be something inspiring?

Or maybe something from my youth?

I couldn’t decide, so I didn’t put up a post.  But then I read this from Alan, and I knew the perfect music to listen to while taking as many Zeds with me to hell as I could:

Been a lot of these lately

UPI is reporting yet another prank where electronic roadside information signs are being hacked to show warnings about zombies.  The latest is in Newfoundland, but it seems a week can’t go by without a similar story.

What if these aren’t pranks?

What if this is the last desperate act of a technician as the undead are beating down his door?  What if all he has to live for is to warn the rest of us through his network of roadside billboards?

What if TBolt is right, and the outbreaks he chronicles in his Romero Operation reports are becoming more widespread and the government is trying to prevent panic by portraying this as electronic vandalism?

Y’all excuse me while I go get boards ready to close up all of my first floor windows and doors.
