The Freezing South
Northern man, Kentucky woman.
It’s been snowing for days, now it’s raining ice, oh man!
Bravely he shovels snow while it’s snowing
There is so much white stuff,
When it’ll stop there’s no way of knowing!
Does his wife understand?
If he shovels thrice today, he can feel like a man!
Why does he shovel snow alone?
In the freezing south, pipes about to burst.
There’s a fight to survive, who will crack first?
Kentucky wife, sitting by the fire,
Northern man, wearing polar attire?
In the freezing south…..
In the Northerner’s code, you shovel driveways
While his woman says ‘Stop!’, his ancestors cry ‘Always!!’
Harder it snows, ice coming from heaven, makes him slip while he scrapes.
It’s this weather that drives him mad.
It’s a battle of chills!
In the frost of the South, it’s ice pellets that kills,
And the power just flickered off, again!
In the freezing south, pipes about to burst.
There’s a fight to survive, who will crack first.
Kentucky wife, sitting by the fire,
Northern man, wearing polar attire?
In the freezing south…..
