The usual gang of reprobates is making the expected lame excuses for why a pathetic waste of protoplasm was able to ‘sneak up’ on President Trump and take potshots at him.

“It wasn’t our responsibility”

“There was a communications issue”

“The roof was too sloped”

While I’m aware that some verbal acrimony occurred when the head of the Secret Service appeared before Congress, I’m hearing nothing that should have been said:

“Congressman, while we’re still trying to thoroughly piece together where the system failed here, I want to reiterate that the safety of the people my agency protects is ours and ours alone. The fact that the former President and others were injured in this attack and that an American citizen was murdered, brings me pain on a personal level. I pledge that we will cooperate with an independent investigation as to what happened here, and that we will correct any failings on our part so that this doesn’t happen again.”

Would that be too hard?
