   I am a direct descendant of ‘Black’ Duncan ‘of the Mischief’ MacFarlane, so named by his father because of his sense of humor. He was banished for his deeds, notably the burning alive of some 50 men come to raid his familial estates. MacFarlane is on my father’s side.

   My dear mother is a Cameron,of the Camerons of Lochiel. The family is well-respected to this day and considered a credit to Scotland.

   I combine the best and the worst that Scotland has to offer.
