/ March 13, 2012I don't know how many times I've read in history books or heard on the evening news about how “This will only take a few weeks” or “the boys will be back before the snow flies”. What I think a lot of people forget is that in war and the rest of life, the enemy gets a vote, and they don't always act as stupidly as you plan.
Always prepare as if what you are about to do is going to be hard, long, and ugly. If you complete your task quick, pretty, and clean, then so much the better, but it's better to be ahead of schedule, under budget, and looking like a superstar than to be out of money, out of time, and looking like an idiot.
